Ivanhoe East

Designed to respond to a long, narrow and steeply sloping restrained site in the northern suburbs green belt, the building – which is split on two axes – contains 26 residential apartments. Viewed from the street, the front facade abstractly references the areas art culture – its connections with Australian Impressionism and the Heidelberg School. For the remainder of the building a restricted palette reflects a combination of site ecologies and the surrounding residential vernacular.
